Mayor Scott Fadness delivered the 2026 State of the City on February 3 to a sold-out crowd at the OneZone Chamber of Commerce luncheon, presented by IU Health.
He opened by honoring Senator State Senator Kyle Walker with the Fishers Forward Award for his thoughtful leadership and legislative impact on behalf of Fishers.
The address highlighted Fishers’ continued focus on the pillars of a great city: safety, opportunity, taxes and cost, and dynamism. Mayor Fadness shared progress in public safety through strong regional partnerships, continued growth in life sciences and job creation, excellence in Hamilton Southeastern Schools, and Fishers’ commitment to affordability with the lowest municipal tax rate in Hamilton County.
He also highlighted the city’s momentum in community and entertainment, from a successful first year at the Fishers Event Center to expanded parks, events, and a growing culinary scene. Together, these efforts reflect Fishers’ commitment to remaining a vibrant, innovative, and entrepreneurial community.
