Spark!Fishers, presented by Meijer, returns to downtown Fishers’ Nickel Plate District for a multi-day celebration from Wednesday, June 24, through Saturday, June 27. Residents and visitors are invited to join in commemorating America’s semiquincentennial, marking the nation’s 250th birthday with community traditions, patriotic festivities and a shared celebration of freedom.
“Spark!Fishers showcases the energy, pride and sense of community that make Fishers such a special place to live,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to downtown Fishers for several days of fun, tradition and celebration.”
Prior to the festival on Friday and Saturday, the community is invited to kick off Spark!Fishers week at the Rotary Club of Fishers Mental Health Initiative Golf Outing on Monday, June 22, and the Spark!Fishers 5K and Firecracker 1-Miler for a family-friendly run/walk on Wednesday, June 24. The celebration takes flight on Friday night with a free community concert featuring P!NK’D, the ultimate tribute band to pop icon, P!NK, complete with aerial and lighting effects, followed by the return of the Spark!Fishers drone show to cap off the night. The excitement returns Saturday afternoon at the Spark!Fishers Street Fair, featuring a new designated Kids Zone equipped with a petting zoo and life-sized building blocks, the beloved Car and Art Show, a special edition of Thrift-a-Thon, live music and entertainment, patriotic activities, local vendors, and 60+ food and drink options. The excitement carries on with the annual Spark!Fishers Parade through downtown Fishers and the Nickel Plate District, leading up to the grand fireworks finale later that evening.
“Spark!Fishers offers something for everyone, from our reimagined Kids Zone, integrated Car & Art Show and 7 unique entertainment stages, to the return of favorite traditions like the parade, street fair, and fireworks finale” said Marissa Deckert, Director of Fishers Parks. “It’s exciting to see this festival evolve each year and bring our community together to celebrate summer in Fishers.
Spark!Fishers is generously supported by its presenting sponsor, Meijer, along with partner sponsors and supporters Meyer Najem, Mashcraft Brewing, Four Day Ray and Visit Hamilton County.
