Mayor’s Youth Academy: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders by Bridging Education and Public Service

In partnership with the City of Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern Schools, and the Eman schools, the Mayor’s Youth Academy offers the opportunity to build community awareness, provide hands-on learning opportunities that enhance curriculum, and inspire future careers in the public sector.

The Fishers Mayor’s Youth Academy is a year-long experience provided by the City of Fishers for high school juniors and seniors who live in and or attend school in Fishers with a GPA of at least 3.0 to be eligible for the program.

Registration for the 2026 – 2027 school year is now open through July 24!

The program is an immersive experience that gives local high students hands-on opportunities to experience and learn more about local government and non-profits, and to showcase opportunities in public service. Mayor’s Youth Academy members will also work with Mayor Scott Fadness and city leaders on public policy projects, with the chance to present their project to the Fishers City Council in the spring of 2026. Mayor’s Youth Academy typically meets on Wednesdays, once per month, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
