City of Fishers leaders will host a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. to commemorate the opening of a new multipurpose barn and nature-themed playground at the Fishers AgriPark, Strengthened by IU Health. The project is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to grow and improve this community asset, with support from IU Health as the City’s health and wellness partner.
The barn features indoor restrooms, classroom and programming space, and a future market store (opening in 2026) that will feature seasonal produce and goods from local vendors. The playground, constructed with native Indiana black locust wood offers a rustic, farm-inspired play area.
“This park isn’t just a place to visit—it’s a place to learn, explore, and grow together as a community,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “Because of its popularity, these investments will allow us to be better equipped to deliver year-round education, recreation, and connection to the land.”
In addition to these new features, the Fishers AgriPark offers free U-Pick, Strengthened by IU Health where guests can harvest their own produce, walking trails, animal encounters and educational programming in partnership with Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
The City of Fishers has expanded the park’s impact beyond Fishers through a unique partnership with the Indianapolis Zoo. The new farm-to-zoo pilot program supplies freshly harvested vegetables grown at the Fishers AgriPark to feed animals like chimpanzees, giraffes, and more. The weekly produce deliveries provide thousands of pounds of produce annually, supporting animal nutrition and sustainable agriculture.
The Fishers AgriPark is now open year-round, offering expanded access to outdoor amenities and seasonal programming. Summer hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
