The annual Spark!Fishers festival presented by Meijer returns to Fishers’ Nickel Plate Cultural District this summer. Kicking off on Tuesday, June 25, and running through Saturday, June 29, the festival offers ways for the community to celebrate Independence Day traditions while showcasing what it means to be uniquely Fishers.
“We are thrilled to unveil new elements at this year’s Spark!Fishers festival that will enhance our community’s experience and celebrate the unique spirit of Fishers,” said Marissa Deckert, Director of Fishers Parks. “Our partnership with the Fishers Art Center in the new Fishers Municipal Center is particularly exciting, allowing us to offer a rich array of free programming that includes art galleries, interactive activities, and local performances. Alongside the debut of our 1-Mile Walk/Run and the spectacular drone show and fireworks at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, we are proud to provide an engaging, accessible festival that truly has something for everyone.”
This year, attendees will enjoy a new schedule of events, including the popular drone show now scheduled to close out the Tuesday concert, and a fireworks display to conclude the concert on Friday night at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.
New this year, a 1-Mile Walk/Run welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. The fun-run-style event will drop participants right in the middle of the day’s festivities.
With the opening of the new Fishers Municipal Center, which includes City Hall and the Fishers Art Center, visitors can enjoy free programming from the Fishers Art Center during Saturday’s events. This includes art galleries featuring works by the celebrated Hoosier artist, writer, and cultural icon, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., alongside high-quality demonstrations, interactive activities, and performances by local performing arts groups.
Registration is required for the Spark!Fishers 5K Race and 1-Mile Walk/Run and car show participants in the Car & Art Show. All other events are free to attend.
