Brooks School Park

One of the city’s most frequented parks, Brooks School Park is known for its many inclusive ways to play and explore in Fishers. The park is just southeast of the Sandstone subdivision at 116th Street and Brooks School Road and totals 16.5 acres of fun for all ages and abilities.
A unique feature of Brooks School Park is the inclusive, ADA-accessible playground. With 21 different activities to explore, including slides, bridges, a sensory play area with instruments, and climbing rocks situated on a rubberized surface, the playground is accessible for all ability levels.
Flat Fork Creek Park

Tucked away on the east side of Fishers, Flat Fork Creek Park is the perfect place to escape the busyness of the season and unplug in nature. The park is just over 60 acres and boasts unique and diverse amenities and activities for every age, ability, and interest.
The park offers several inclusive amenities to ensure play for all ability levels, including an ADA-accessible treehouse that is perfect for observing wildlife or enjoying the scenic view of Flat Fork Creek. The paved multi-use trail and boardwalk that loop around the park are also accessible, and paved ramps lead the way to the top of the sledding hill allowing visitors and residents of all abilities to enjoy one of the best views in Fishers.
Holland Park

Located in the heart of Fishers, Roy G. Holland Memorial Park is Fishers’ first municipal park, developed in 1991. The park is approximately 34 acres and offers a variety of amenities for all age groups and abilities.
Fishers Parks and facilities are available to all and include an accessible wheelchair-friendly glider and friendship swing, thanks to generous donations from community partners Fishers Kiwanis Club, IU Saxony Health, and Make a Wish Foundation. In addition to the glider and friendship swing, the Holland Park playground features a poured-in-place rubber surface, and accessible ramps and swings.
Fishers AgriPark Nature Trail

The Fishers AgriPark Nature Trail allows visitors to escape the demands of everyday life while supporting mental wellness.
The Nature Trail is wheelchair accessible with crushed and compacted limestone, and features painted kindness rocks displaying positive messages, decorated by members of the community, and connects the animal and produce areas to a 5-acre open-play and event space.

Fishers Parks also installed an assisted listening system at the NPD AMP, with assisted listening devices available to check out for those who are hard of hearing or use a hearing aid. Fishers Parks will also provide a sensory quiet zone for major events at the NPD AMP for guests with sensory-processing disorders.
There are also accessible seating areas at the NPD AMP for guests with limited mobility, ADA accessible picnic tables at the NPD AMP and Fishers AgriPark, and additional ADA parking spots available for large events at the NPD AMP.
KultureCity’s Sensory Inclusion Certification
Fishers Parks has partnered with KultureCity to ensure that the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (NPD AMP), Fishers AgriPark, Fishers Maker Playground, and special events at the city’s 25 parks (including the upcoming Spark!Fishers festival) are sensory inclusive and welcoming for all. The KultureCity initiative promotes an accommodating and positive experience for all guests.
Fishers Parks staff underwent training by leading medical professionals on how to recognize guests with sensory needs and how to handle a sensory-overload situation. Sensory bags, equipped with noise-canceling headphones (provided by Puro Sound Labs), fidget tools, verbal cue cards (produced in conjunction with Boardmaker), and weighted lap pads are available at all events in the Fishers Parks tent to any guest who may feel overwhelmed by the environment.
Prior to attending an event, families can download the free KultureCity app on the App Store or Google Play, where one can view what sensory features are available and where they can access them. Also on the App is the Social Story, which provides a preview of what to expect at the NPD AMP, Fishers AgriPark, Maker Playground, and all of Fishers Parks’ signature events.
