Community Wellness Leaders

“In addition to providing space for accessing health services and physical activities, the Fishers Community Center will fill a critical role in building social capital and connectedness among our residents for years to come. Building a culture of health and wellness in our community is one of the most important things we can give our children—this center is a vibrant symbol of that mission.”

Monica Heltz

Director, Fishers Health Department

“The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis takes immense pride in our work to strengthen communities. We envision communities where everyone has the opportunity to achieve optimal health and wellness, gain confidence, make new friends and develop connections. The addition of the Fishers Community Center will expand access to those looking to start or continue their wellness journeys. The YMCA and the Fishers Community Center are both perfectly positioned to offer more resources and programs to improve the health and well-being of the entire community.”

Jennie Broady

Executive Director, Fishers YMCA

“Outside the Box is so incredibly honored to have an opportunity to include people with different abilities in the Fishers Community Center’s programming. Fishers truly is a city that empowers all people to work, live, and play in our community – it is awesome! We are excited to launch the city’s first-ever, full-time day program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities this July that will find its forever home at the Fishers Community Center.”
