Seize the summer in Fishers with new amenities, free community events for all ages

Summer is in full swing, and the City of Fishers and Fishers Parks are celebrating with a summer of fun, traditions, and memory-making.

Find the season’s freshest picks at the award-winning Fishers Farmers Market, enjoy a Lū’au at Geist Waterfront Park, cool off with Monsoon Madness at Holland Park, celebrate the summer at Spark!Fishers, and enjoy a concert under the stars at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.


The summer event lineup includes: 

Geist Waterfront Park Swim Season

Park open daily, dawn to dusk

Swim Hours: Daily through September 2 | 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Geist Waterfront Park (10811 Olio Road)

The 70-acre waterfront park in east Fishers features beach and water access to Geist Reservoir, non-motorized boat launch and dock access for kayaks and canoes, walking trails, playground, and public gathering amenities.  
 
Park access is open to all during non-peak hours. During peak hours (generally weekend afternoons), admission is free for Fishers residents and $25 per vehicle for non-residents. It’s now easier than ever for residents to access the park – just show your government-issued ID at the entrance, no Smart Pass needed!  Learn more at FishersParks.com/GeistWaterfront

Fishers Parks Lu’au

Saturday, June 8 | 6 – 9 p.m.| Geist Waterfront Park | Free

Join Fishers Parks for the inaugural Fishers Lū’au showcasing aspects of an authentic Polynesian Lū’au, from food to music to live entertainment and more. No registration required. Learn more at FishersParks.com/Fishers Luau.

Fishers Art Center   
The Fishers Municipal Center, opening in June at 1 Municipal Drive, is the new home for City Hall and the Fishers Art Center and a welcoming gathering place for all. In partnership with the Indianapolis Art Center, the Fishers Art Center will offer art classes for all ages, engaging summer camps, unique gallery exhibitions, and more. Space is available in the Fishers Art Center’s summer camps, and registration is open for various Make It Take It classes for adults. Learn more at IndyArtCenter.org.

The Fishers Arts Center will also be open to the public with hands-on activities for visitors during Spark!Fishers on Saturday, June 29.

Fishers Farmers Market presented by IU Health Fishers

Fourth of July Fireworks Shows

Presented by Star Heating & Cooling, celebrate Independence Day and pick your viewing area from the following spots around the city:

  • Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, with a free concert beginning at 8 p.m.
  • Cyntheanne Park (12383 Cyntheanne Road), can also view from HSE Intermediate/Jr. High parking lots (12278 Cyntheanne Road)
  • Geist Reservoir (no viewing permitted from Fall Creek Bridge or Geist Marina), please find a spot on the water in a boat or from your residence

Monsoon Madness 
Saturday, July 20 | 11 – 3 p.m. for pre-purchased early access | 12 – 3 p.m. for general admission | Holland Park (1 Park Drive
Monsoon Madness features giant waterslides, a mini-monsoon area for little ones, and live entertainment. This year’s event will offer an early access option where attendees can purchase the $20 wristband to experience a smaller crowd and shorter wait times from 11 a.m. to noon, which will be limited to the first 500 registrants. Before the Bell

12th Annual Fishers Blues Fest

Fishers Fire & Emergency Services’ Cul-de-sac Drills 
Various dates & neighborhoods | Free 
Fishers Fire & Emergency Services is excited to return to neighborhood cul-de-sacs for a second season of residents meeting firefighters one-on-one. Firefighters will give little and big kids alike an opportunity to handle the fire hose line or run through the spray during these family-friendly neighborhood events. Trek the Trails
Open daily / Free

Walk, run, or bike the newly completed Fishers Nickel Plate Trail, stretching five miles from 96th Street to 146th Street. You can even continue north at 146th Street into Noblesville to enjoy just under three miles of trail. Along the way, stop in to explore new restaurants, like Niyyah Coffee at Hub & Spoke, or Rush Bowls, Java House, and Cooper & Cow in downtown Fishers.    

Fishers AgriPark 

Tuesdays – Wednesdays: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thursdays – Saturdays: 10 a.m.– 6 p.m. | Fishers AgriPark (11171 Florida Road) / Free
The 33-acre urban farm featuring public fields and gardens, managed by Fishers Parks, is now open for the season. The farm offers livestock encounters and u-pick opportunities once produce is in season. From educational series to agricultural-themed summer camps, public programming at the Fishers AgriPark is rooted in farm operations and agriculture in our community, the state, and the United States. Splash Pads
