Citywide Trash & Recycling Contract
All residences incorporated within the City of Fishers will transition to a citywide waste collection program with Republic Service beginning January 13, 2025. The contract includes one 96-gallon container for recycling per residence.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Residents can drop off bare, live Christmas trees for free from December 26 through February 1 for recycling. Please ensure that all lights, decorations, and tinsel are removed, and do not place the tree inside a plastic bag. Drop off trees at:
- Brooks School Park (parking lot, gated area)
- Cumberland Park (first parking lot)
- Roy G. Holland Memorial Park (parking lot, gated area)

The City of Fishers hosts free City Recycling Days in the spring and fall, where residents can recycle electronics, household items, and household hazardous wastes. On-site paper recycling and off-site confidential document shredding are also available. Document shredding is completed off-site by Share’s Inc., a certified confidential document shredding company.
Wood, mattresses, foam containers, foam peanuts, glass, grease, plastic, and general trash are not accepted. Unaccepted items must be taken back by residents. This event is exclusive to Fishers residents; materials from businesses are not accepted.

*Please note that there are limits for flammable liquids and pesticides/herbicides (up to 100 pounds/ liquid-equivalent is free, with a charge of $1.00 for each additional pound/liquid equivalent.

Missed our City recycling day? Please remember that Fishers residents can utilize the Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Center and General Recycling Area year-round! This is a great resource for safely disposing of items that can’t go in your regular curbside recycling.
Drop-Off Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Items Accepted:
- Household Hazardous Waste: TVs/Electronics ($20 per TV), paints, batteries, automotive chemicals, tires, cleaners, and more.
- General Recycling: Cardboard, plastics, metals, and glass.
