Fishers Event Center Opening Series Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets are available for upcoming shows at the Fishers Event Center, the largest mid-size event center in the Indianapolis region. Get tickets now for: 

The 7,500-seat venue, located on a 53-acre plot in the expanded Fishers District, will host concerts, entertainment acts, sports events, and community activities.

Citywide Trash RFP

Following a public RFP process, City of Fishers presented their recommendation for a city-wide trash contract with Republic Services at a Board of Public Works meeting late July. A public hearing and contract approval will be on Tuesday, August 13. A final recommendation will be presented to City Council this fall with services targeted to begin in January 2025 if approved. Sign up for Fall Classes at the Fishers Arts Center

The Fishers Art Center, located in the Fishers Municipal Center at 1 Municipal Drive, offers art classes and programs for all ages, engaging summer camps, unique gallery exhibitions, and more. Registration is open for fall semester classes for children and adults, as well as various Make It Take It classes for adults. Learn more at FishersArtCenter.org.

Dog Days of Summer

Fishers dog lovers, get ready! From now through August 11, post your favorite photos of your furry friends exploring our beautiful city and tag us on Instagram! In honor of our Fishers Community Center at Johnson Farms opening in 2025 that will have a dog park, every tagged post will receive instructions on how to get a FREE Fishers-branded bandana for your pup! We can’t wait to see those wagging tails and happy smiles!  

Meet Your School Resource Officers at National Night Out!

Join Fishers Police Department for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6 from 5 – 7 PM at the Fishers Police Department for an open house to meet officers, tour the building, learn about their specialty units, and enjoy food and Kona Ice. Learn more at Police.FishersIN.gov.

NPD Amphitheater Concerts

There are two very exciting ticketed Friday night shows in partnership with MOKB Presents from the following national touring bands this month:

  • August 24 – Brett Dennen

Extended Swim Hours at Geist Waterfront Park

Through August 6, the beach is open daily for swimming from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Park access is open to all during non-peak hours. During peak hours (generally weekend afternoons), admission is free for Fishers residents and $25 per vehicle for non-residents. It’s now easier than ever for residents to access the park – just show your government-issued ID at the entrance, no Smart Pass is needed! Learn more at FishersParks.com/GeistWaterfront

Tribute Tree

The City of Fishers is excited to re-launch the Tribute Tree Program! This initiative allows residents to donate trees in honor, memory, or celebration of loved ones and special occasions, enriching our parks and public spaces. Learn more at FishersIN.gov/Recognition.

12th Annual Fishers Blues Fest

End the summer with the annual Fishers Blues Fest, a Labor Day tradition now on new nights: Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1! The free, two-night event includes performances by renowned local and national blues artists. Learn more at npdamp.com/BluesFest

Register for the Geist 5K, 10K or Half Marathon

Enjoy the beautiful waterfront scenery of Geist Reservoir with the family-friendly Geist Half Race Series presented by Meijer. Fishers Farmers Market Every Saturday

The Fishers Farmers Market’s season runs through Saturday, September 28. Each market is held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays during this period at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Vendors offer fresh produce, baked goods, specialty food items, meats, coffee, honey, plants, and more. Check out a list of vendors here.

Road Construction Updates

96th Street & Allisonville Road Roundabout 

Construction is underway on a new, two-lane roundabout to replace the current Michigan Left intersection at 96th Street and Allisonville Road, adjacent to the new River Place development and site of the future White River Park. The roundabout is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2024. This project is in conjunction with the City’s Allisonville Road corridor revitalization, which features road and walkability improvements, enhanced greenspace, and new development.
