End of Summer Bucket List

School is fast approaching, but there are still a few weeks left to get out and Seize the Summer! From enjoying outdoor dining to playing at the park, here are some bucket-list items before the summer ends.

Get Creative at Fishers Art Center

New to the Fishers community, the Fishers Art Center offers various art classes for all interests, ages and skill levels. The Make It Take It Classes allow artists to make various projects like paintings, pottery and digital photos – and take them home later! Make It Take It classes are the perfect way to create some art and close out the summer. Sign up for a class at FishersArtCenter.org.

Find Adventure on one of Fishers’ Trails!

Enjoy the beautiful weather and get some exercise on one of Fishers’ local trails. With the Nickel Plate Trail, trails at Conner Prairie, and the new Geist Greenway, Fishers offers miles of nature trails. Visit FishersParks.com/Trails to find a new trail to explore.

Artistry at Brooks School Park

The basketball court murals at Brooks School Park make this park a must-visit before the end of summer. The mural was a collaboration between artist Koda Witsken a NBA star Gary Harris, both Hamilton Southeastern High School graduates. Along with the artwork, Brooks School Park offers a large playground, creek, and field to play in. Learn more at fishersin.gov/basketballmurals.

Beat the Heat at Geist Waterfront Park

On those especially hot days, get out on the water! Rent a kayak, go for a swim, or lay out and tan at Geist Waterfront Park. Complete with lifeguards, a playground, and volleyball nets, Geist Waterfront offers something for everyone. Don’t miss extended swim hours from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. now through August 12. Park access is open to all during non-peak hours. During peak hours (generally weekend afternoons), admission is free for Fishers residents and $25 per vehicle for non-residents. It’s now easier than ever for residents to access the park – just show your government-issued ID at the entrance, no Smart Pass is needed! Learn more at FishersParks.com/GeistWaterfront.

Game, Set, Match: Play Pickleball

If you’re a pickleball fan, head over to the courts at Holland Park or Cyntheanne Park for a game. These parks offer free public courts for all pickleball lovers. Between the two, there are 13 courts available. Whether an experienced pro or a first-time player, these Pickleball courts offer fun with friends or the whole family! Ring in the new school year!

As a school comes closer, celebrate the new school year with HSE School’s Before the Bell.
