2027 City of Fishers Budget

At the October City Council Meeting, Fishers City Council approved the 2026 budget that continues the City’s operational excellence, offers low, consistent property tax rate, and investments in public safety, road infrastructure, and quality of life.

2027 City of Fishers Budget

Mayor Scott Fadness will present the proposed 2027 budget to Fishers City Council on September 21.

  • September 21: City Council 2027 Budget Presentation and Public Hearing 
  • October 12: City Council Budget Adoption

2026 City Budget Highlights

Quality of Life Investments

  • Investment in youth athletics infrastructure and amenities
  • Opening of the AgriPark Country Store
  • First full year of operations for the Fishers Community Center
  • Trails and greenways investments

Road Infrastructure

  • Roundabout intersection construction  (131st St. and Brooks School Rd., Olio Rd. and Southeastern Ave., 96th St. and Cyntheanne Rd.)
  • Road widening and improvements
  • Roadway resurfacing

Community Support Investments

  • $400K for Neighborhood Vibrancy Grants
  • $275K for Nonprofits
  • $50K for Educator Innovation Grants for HSE Schools
  • $10k for ADA Grants

Public Safety Investments

  • 3 new Firefighters
  • 2 new School Safety Officers
  • $1.8 million+ dedicated to fire and police fleet, equipment, and technology
  • Reinvestment in firefighter training and policing excellence initiatives
